PI: James A. Crovetti
Center for Highway and Traffic Engineering
Marquette University
Project: Objectives of Phase 1 of this study are to develo and implement a comprehensive pavement instrumentation plan for the HMA perpetual pavement being constructed along the North Leg of the MI project and demeonstrate the capabilities of the instrumentation to provide real-time, off-site recordings of pavement response under construction trafficking. Phase 2 will have us developing and implementing data collection and analysis plans that will ensure the effective storage, retreival, and processing of real-time response data and provide data access to interested pavement researchers and designers.
Task List:
  1. Literature review
  2. Develop Field Instrumentation Plan
  3. Field Installations
  4. System demonstration
