Title: Comparison of Basic Lab Test Results with More Sophisticated Lab and In-Situ Test Methods on Soils in Southeastern Wisconsin
PI: Tuncer Edil
Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering
University of Wisconsin-Madison
Project: The objective of this study is to investigate the generated soils data from the Marquette Interchange project in an attempt to correlate the more "routine" lab tests results. If correlations can be obtained, future design work in this area of the state could be based on more routine tests, while minimizing the need for more elaborate (and expensive) lab and in-situ tests.
Task List:
  1. Compilation of data in electronic media
  2. Identifications of potential correlations.
  3. Statistical analysis and interpretation.
  4. Report.
Start Date: November 18, 2005
End Date: May 18, 2007
Extension: May 1, 2008, Septmber 30, 2008
Project Award: $35,043
