| Project: |
The research objectives are to determine the coefficients of friction of stainless steel-PTFE surfaces with two different surface finishes: #7 high-luster and #8 mirror, to provide an initial evaluation of the effects of higher friction on the forces in the structure, and to report the results to WisDOT in a way that can be easily and clearly understood, and implemented in bridge design practice through the Bureau of Structures.
