Title: Determining a Temperature-Density Relationship after Completed Rolling of HMA
PI: Awad S. Hanna
Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering
University of Wisconsin-Madison
Project: This study measured asphalt pavement densities on several construction projects after final rolling and then in the same location the following day when the pavement had cooled. Results indicated no significant difference between the two density measurements. Parallel tests were conducted with laboratory samples of compacted asphalt.
