Project Administration

Quarterly reporting

Quarterly reports will be e-mailed to Andrew Hanz in Microsoft Word format. The template for this report will be sent to the principal investigator four weeks in advance of the quarterly report deadline, which is the seventh day of the month following the end of each quarter. After WHRP receives the reports, they will be forwarded to TOC chairs for review. Quarterly report submittal is required for payment of invoices.

Since 2005, quarterly reports have been available on each individual project page. In prior years, compilations were created.

No Cost Time Extensions

No cost time extension requests must be initiated by the Principal Investigator through submission of a no cost time extension (NCTE) request form to the WHRP Program Manager no later 60 days prior to the contract end date. The NCTE Form and WHRP's NCTE Policy are provided below:

Final reporting

Final reports have special requirements, which are described in the Final Report Requirements. A series of items that must be included in the final report are described in this document. A link to each attachment can be found below.

Online databases

Researchers may find these databases helpful.

Transportation Research Information Services
The TRIS database contains almost a half million records on published and ongoing research in all modes and disciplines of transportation. TRIS is made available by the Bureau of Transportation Statistics’ National Transportation Library.

Transportation Research Board — Research in Progress
Transportation Research Board's RiP database contains about 6,600 records of current or recently completed transportation research projects. Each month about 100 new RiP projects are added to the database and another 150 RiP records are updated. Most of the RiP records are projects funded by the federal and or state departments of transportation. Some university transportation research is also included.
